The room included two separate sinks. The shower was also a rainfall shower. The food was AMAZING!!! I really enjoyed the breakfast.
The gym had limited hours.

a really pleasant stay

i enjoyed the complimentary coffee pods including decaf they provided with the new nespresso vertuo machine a local brakespeares ale would greatly enhance the bar selection for ale lovers the breakfast options were generously sized. dogs are welcome i observed and our cavapoo albie was greeted warmly .
the shower drain emitted an unpleasant odor i reported this to reception upon checkout the door locks proved somewhat complicated to operate requiring some getting used to i think.

the check-in process was smooth and professional i noticed the staff were polite and attentive throughout our stay they seemed genuinely committed to ensuring a cute environment for all guests i saw.

the grounds were well cared for i noticed the restaurant and bar have a balcony overlooking the golf course it included heaters for cooler evenings the family lodges looked generously sized and well situated.

the menu included classics like chef's pie haddock and chips and rump steak i tried the chicken balti and it was superb the tomato soup starter was also amazing a local beer would be a welcome addition.

the suite was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean it had its own individual styling the alder lodge offered extra privacy with allocated parking outside each lodge i noted the rooms were generally warm.

The location was good. Breakfast was also acceptable.
The room was not as clean as i expected it to be. there was dust on some surfaces and the bathroom floor didn't look mopped. There was also a strange smell. these details detracted from the overall impression. I hoped for a cleaner environment.

the building possess classical beauty outside. a funky modern twist embrace the reception area. staff show kindness, care. professional attitude. i observed umbrellas available for hire via electronic device. a mini shop exist in the foyer. it provide essentials for self-catering lodges. i notice options, hotel rooms with quirky tasteful decoration, alder lodges a short distance from the hotel, and the main building.
it create a little disappointment when i cannot use its facilities.

the gym include modern equipment. i noticed treadmills plus stationary bikes. the spa is modern. the design is tasteful. an exuberant but tranquil atmosphere permeate the space.
